Dr. Martha Vega-Crist D.D.S.

Owner / General Dentist

Dr. Martha Vega-Crist D.D.S.

Dr. Vega-Crist has been practicing in Oxford for over 19 years and has been practicing general dentistry for over 27 years. A native from Chicago IL, she received her D.D.S. degree from Northwestern University Dental School in 1992. She and her family moved to the Detroit Metropolitan area in 1996. Since that time she has provided quality dental care in the state of Michigan.

Doctor Vega-Crist remains active and pursuing education in the latest techniques, procedures, and bio-materials in the dental field. She has taken and completed comprehensive courses in the areas of Endodontics, Orthodontics, and Dental Implants.

Doctor Vega-Crist is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Michigan Dental Association (MDA). She maintains close liaisons with several specialists in the Oakland County area.

Dr. Joy Syrjanen is a lifelong Michigan resident who grew up in a small town in the Upper Peninsula. Her small-town roots gave her a strong sense of community and taught her the importance of building meaningful, lasting relationships; values she strives to bring into the dental practice every day.

Dr. Syrjanen is dedicated to creating a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for her patients. Her mission is to deliver high-quality dental care while promoting oral health as an essential part of overall well-being.

After moving to Lower Michigan in 2007, Dr. Syrjanen earned her undergraduate degree from Grand Valley State University, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Syrjanen enjoys the great outdoors, especially during Michigan’s beautiful summers. She loves spending time with family and friends at her family’s cottage on Fortune Lake in the Upper Peninsula.
