Do you want a
better looking Smile?
Have you ever had questions and concerns regarding dental procedures that will improve function or enhance your smile?
> What causes tooth discoloration?
Tooth color varies from person to person and can darken with age. Darker stains, such as those caused by antibiotics, are more difficult to whiten. The degree of the whiteness will vary from person to person, depending on the structure of the teeth. Tobacco, foods, and beverages will cause surface stains. We can select a whitening treatment that is right for you.
> Who benefits from tooth whitening?
Almost anyone. However, the treatment may not be as effective for some as it is for others. We can determine if you are a viable candidate through a thorough oral exam, including a shade assessment.
> Is whitening safe?
Yes. There have been many research and clinical studies indicating that whitening teeth, under the supervision of a Dentist is safe. Although, whitening is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.
> Why not use "Drug Store Tooth Whiteners"?
Many retail tooth whiteners use ineffective "one-size-fits-all" whitening trays. Others only cover a few teeth and require frequent touch-ups. These products do not achieve the same proven lasting results as professional treatments.
> How long do the results last?
Your teeth will always be lighter than they were before whitening. The results can vary depending on the consumption of tea, coffee, red wine, and/or smoking. To keep your teeth looking their best, we recommend flossing, brushing at least twice daily, and occasional touch-up treatments.
